Privacy policy
Last updated 14 September 2026
This policy explains what personal information Steadyline Consultants LLC collects, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and what rights you have over it. It covers this website and the services we provide to clients.
Who we are
Steadyline Consultants LLC is the data controller for information collected through this website. Our contact details are at the bottom of this page.
What we collect, and why
| What | Why | How long |
|---|---|---|
| Name and email address, submitted through our enquiry form | To reply to your enquiry and, if you become a client, to carry out the work | 24 months after our last contact, unless you become a client |
| Your website address and any message you write, if you provide them | To prepare the systems review and understand what you need | As above |
| Server logs kept by our hosting provider, including IP address | Security and keeping the site running | Controlled by our host; typically about 30 days |
The enquiry form asks for your name and email because we cannot reply without them. Every other field is optional. We do not ask for a phone number, a postal address, or any financial information through this website.
What we do not do
- We do not set cookies on this website, and we run no analytics or advertising tracking. See our cookies page.
- We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information to anyone.
- We do not add enquirers to a marketing list. If we ever start a newsletter, you would have to opt in separately.
- We do not use your information to make automated decisions about you.
Our lawful basis
Where the UK or EU GDPR applies, we rely on your consent for enquiry form submissions (you tick a box before sending), and on legitimate interests for keeping our website secure. Where we are working with you as a client, we rely on performance of a contract.
Who else sees your information
We keep the number of third parties deliberately small. The ones that may process your information on our behalf are:
- Netlify — hosts this website and receives enquiry form submissions.
- Our email provider — stores the correspondence that follows your enquiry.
- Our delivery platform — if you become a client, the platform we use to build and run your website and systems will process data relating to your project.
Each of these acts on our instructions and is not permitted to use your information for their own purposes. We may also disclose information where we are legally required to.
Clients and end customers
When we build and run systems for a client — a website, a chat assistant, a phone assistant, or follow-up messaging — those systems may handle personal information belonging to that client's own customers. In that situation the client is the data controller and we act as their processor under a written agreement. We do not use that information for any purpose of our own. Clients handling health information can ask us about a Business Associate Agreement.
Where your information is held
Our providers store data on servers in the United States. If you contact us from outside the United States, your information will be transferred there. Where required, we rely on standard contractual clauses with our providers to protect that transfer.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask us to give you a copy of your information, correct it, delete it, restrict how we use it, or object to us using it. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time. We will not charge you for exercising these rights and we will not treat you differently for doing so.
Email us at the address below and we will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to your local data protection authority.
Security
This site is served over HTTPS. We limit access to enquiry data to the people who need it. No system is perfectly secure, but if a breach affected your information and posed a risk to you, we would tell you and the relevant regulator without undue delay.
Children
This website is intended for businesses. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of the page. Material changes will be highlighted on the homepage.
